This is a birthday card, for a child at church who is turning 3.  The Stamp is from Cornish heritage farms

I am a little sad today, another scrape book store,  is closing.  I know with our economy the way it is.  We need to spend our money on the other stuff. But it is so sad to see all these stores going out of business, and more people losing their jobs.

I have been published

I am very excited today, I received my copy of VSN Vamp Stamp News.  And the card I submitted to the magazine is on the cover, in the lower left hand corner.  This is the first time that I have been on the cover.  Thanks for looking

baptism cards with nestiblities

we have been talking about using nestiblites, for our cards on one of my yahoo groups, inkyfunstampers@yahoogroups.com.  So since I was doing baptism cards for some of the kids at church, I decided it was a great time to use them.  On the boys card I used the square nesties, and embossed them then layered with the next size larger nestie.   For the Girls card I used the oval embossed it.  Then layered using the scaliped.  Nestiblities are wonderful to get the great layered look.  I think they are a must have.  I cannot wait to get some more.

whiff of joy

This is my first time stamping with my new whiff of joy stamps.  The image stamped great.  Love their cute images. I stamped the image with Versifine ink, and colored with pencils,  then I made a mask and stamped over the mouse to create the words for the background.  The happy birthday in the rectangle was made using nestiblities. The flowers are paper.

my stamping room

I wanted to share my stamping room with you today.  The cubes came from orental trading,
they are 17 X 17 which is a little bigger then the ones they sell at Michale's.  The only problem with this is the chair is not tall enough for the desk.   So I look like a little kid at the table since I am short. Above my desk, I have the inks and embossing powders, and next to the desk is the slots for the paper.  I also use a 2 draw filing cabenet for my partial sheets of paper.
In the iris carts are the wood mounted stamps.  For my unmounted I have have them in a casset cases, and they are in another room for now. On one wall I have my sprays and paints. and
equipment like the cuttlebug, and paper cutter.  Still need to organize the drawers so I can find things.
Since I took these photos I have added a cart to use next to the desk and a place to put my pencils and other projects I am working on.  And under the window I have added a ribbon holder.
thanks for visiting

this is my very first post

everyone seems to have a blog, so why not me.  I am not sure how often I will post but here it goes.
My name is Debbie, I live in Las Vegas NV.  I work full time for an insurance company. I am married with husband Chico.  We Have two kids Nicole, who is away at college attending Columbia university in Chicago.  And Patrick who is  in 10 grade and is attending a magnet high School.  I am active in the Mormon church.  Where I work the children in Primary.
I  love to stamp and make cards.  So that is why I choose the title of my blog.  I have been stamping for about 15 years.  I have learned many things from a stamp store that has gone out of business, Stamp Oasis.  The other great teacher in stamping has been the internet.  I am a member of technique junkies.  They have a great newsletter in how to do new and interesting stuff.  I love to have all the one items.  So I love to shop.
I also do geochaching, this is a hobby my brother got me interested in... but it is a story for another time.
