The forgotten Butterfly

Today's challenge at Outlawz, is to use a product that you bought a long time ago and never used..
Yes.. We are making people dig into their stashes and use old stuff. So what is old on my card.
We will start with the butterfly die.. I bought at a stamp Convention here in Vegas... about 5 years ago.. never out of the package.. because it was so big I could not figure out how to use it on a card.. Next item The Rose creations dies from Spellbinders.. they came out the winter of 2012... so I figure about then.  The Ribbon... never opened.. .. then the pearls.. I like the ones that come with the adhesive.. these do not...So again.. another item.. but the rest of it the paper and the corner dies and the leaves.. those I use a lot.. so .. come join use at Outlawzs, Paper Ala Mode challenge.... and confess what have you had in your stash way to long.. it is time to use it.

To make this card.. I used.. an spellbinder embossing folder. to emboss the background.. then I wrapped the layers in Ribbon.  The Spellbinder petals I used Versemark ink to shade the edges with and then I scrunched the petals up and Shaped them with my fingers... then layered and glued them together..
the Vine , Butterfly  and corners are from Cheery Lynn Designs..
thanks for stopping by..
this card was entered in

Field of Lost Dreams

Today's card for Squigglefly challenge is a image called Field of Lost Dreams, the image was drawn by one of my favorite artiest Lynn Stansbery.  Her images just seems to bring out the best in my coloring.
The challenge this wee at Squigglefly is called Down on the Farm .. so this is my take.
I colored the image with copic markers. I wanted it to look a little distress so I distressed the edges.. and added some Distress ink to it then sanded the embossed highlights of the embossed image  then just layered it.. this image just needed simple.
hope you join us this week at Squigglefly and show us your take of down on the farm.
thanks
Debbie

Fall Blessing

The challenge this week at Outlawz Paper Ala Mode is to do a monochromatic card.  For me always a challenge.  I picked am image from Squigglefly  called Fall Wreath by Pamela Lehto.  I colored the image with Copic markers .. I love to color fall leaves.. That is because in Las Vegas, since it is so warm our leaves really do not turn the wonderful fall colors.. the most we see is yellow.
I used an embossing folder with leaves  and highlighted it with red.. distress ink.. but red on orange turns a lovely shade of dark orange.
Then I went with a fall wide ribbon.. and just did a belly wrap.
Thanks for stopping by .. and let me see your Monochromatic.. on Outlawz.
Thanks Debbie

Boo

The challenge this week at Scrapbook Stamp Society is to make a card with lots of bling..
The image I choose is a Besties by Sherri Baldy ..it is called Besite Trixie Boo .  I colored her with copic markers and cut her out and mounter her on a spellbinders die.
I wanted to make a Shadowbox card.. a person on a challenge told me that they are not that hard to do..
So of course that got me thinking..
To made this card I took two pieces of 6 X 6 paper and scored both pieces at 1/2 inch and 5 1/2 inches.
and taped them together.
The rest was done with memory box dies. I used a spider web die and black glittery paper... then used the bat die on the same black glittery paper.. and the ghost die.. on white paper and the spider die on orange paper.. and then I put some paper tape from Michaels on the border..  and added bling.. because it had to have lots of bling..

Back to school in style

Today's card was inspired by the back to school fashions I  saw at the mall.. bright pinks and oranges together.  I can see my Mother  saying now you cannot wear pink and orange together.. and you cannot wear read and pink together.. well Mom.. if my coloring would allow me to wear orange.. I so would try this color mix.
I picked and image from Scrapbook Stamp Society for this challenge, this one is just image 804.

I colored her with copic markers and used pinks and oranges .. then cut her out with one of the new spellbinder dies.. then added some bling ... and flowers from Wild orchid.
thank for stopping by .. now show me your idea of back to school... see you on Outlawz
Thanks
