Monochromatic fairy

Today for Scrapbook Stamp Society the challenge is anything goes.  And we all love those.. but I also wanted this for outlawz. paper ala mode monochromatic challenge.. and I choose to work in pink.
I picked the image img076.  I saw another card with this and just had to have her.. and so fun to do  in pink.  I colored her with copic markers... and mounted her on a scalloped die.. the background was done using a stencil  from memory box and  distress inks... then I added some ribbon and corner dies from Cheery lynn designs... and some pink flowers... and some glitter glue...

Zentangle Elephant

today my card is one I made with this fun image from Sweet pea stamps.   The image is by Courtney McAnsh and is called Zentangle Elephant.  I have to admit... I looked at this image and looked at it... and wondered what to do with it... So I finely decided on my favorite color combo teal pink and purple.  I colored the elephant in teal and the other wonderful embellishment in pink and purple... but I had to put some ye

god is my pilot

the card i am showing you today is special, i asked the artist at digi stamps 4 joy  to draw a teddy bear in a pilot jacket and the saying God is my pilot, this is the image Margery drew.  The card is for a person I know who is battling  pancreatic cancer.  He was an are flight controller for over 30 years.
I colored the image with copic markers and mounted on spellbinder dies... I used tim holtz tissue tape..
I hope you enjoy this card... my friend called me to thank me the other day... he said the card is very special to him... That this card brought him some happiness makes me feel that I was inspired by God to  make it for him

vintage fairy

today on outlawz, paper ala mode, out challenge is vintage.. my image is from a Day for daisy the image is called lucky wishes . I picked her to use because she reminded be of March with her hair being blown by the wind.  I colored her in sephia tones with copic makers  using the E50 range of colors.. except for the wings... those were a mix of different tones... with E94 being used ... discovered the E92 was a great color for blush.
Then I used the torn paper method to frame my image... with inking the edges with distress ink... I used the direct to paper method on the torn edges to give it a burnt look...
the designer paper in the background is from prima... think I am in love with prima paper... so inspiring. But not the correct shade to distress ink to the rescue. I distressed the edges with my distressing tool think inked the paper some more... then I then I distressed the maroon paper layer on the bottom ... added some lace and a memory box die and come flowers... then used bronze frantage to sprinkle around my image and heat set...  than I put the card  together... last is need some flowers... but one more thing... gold toned clear stickles was added just where ever... this is one where if you could see the magical sparkle on the card you would understand why...  I used it on my flowers too.
So bring on the Vintage... and join us on paper ala mode.

Red flowers.

The challenge this month at Digistamps4joy is to use the color red and embossing.. I choose the image called Cosmos,  I just love the flowers at Digistamps 4 joy...  the flowers was the main reason I wanted to be on the design team ... got to love them.  I colored the flowers with Red copic markers and cut them out.  Then mounted them on orange paper cut out with a spellbinders die.  then mounted this on an embossing from a spellbinders embossing folder.. I ran my red ink on the inside of the folder and embossed... love this effect then added some tim Holtz tape and the corner dies and dragon fly from Cheery Lynn designs...
I put embossing powder on the inside of the wings..

Birthday fairy

Today on Outlawz the challenge is to make a paper pieced background.  The technique comes from Edwina Brown .. who kindly shared this with us... I colored my image with copic markers then added some stampendous frantage to the image...    The dies are from Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn Designs...

Feeling like Spring

Today for my post I did a fun little Besties card... love this image...  I just wish I could find her again in the etsy shop... but I will look again ... Sherri Baldy has so many fun images  you can always find stuff you have never seen before... please stop in there...
I colored my image with copic markers and used the new rose die set by Spellbinders...
and  easy peasy card... but It did not need more...

feeling a little touch of the Irish

The challenge on Outlawz paper ala mode is to make an easel card ... our sponsor is Fitztown...
and of course for a little twist you need green..
I colored my image with copic markers and fussy cut the image out and mounted her on die cuts from spellbinders... and added some stuff from Stampendous called pot of gold... because a good Irish fairy needs her gold...

Fairy easel card

This month at sweet pea stamps... the challenge is  do a pastel colored card... always a challenge because I like bold colors... The image I choose is by Norma Burnell and is called Posey  I colored this image with copic markers and cut her out with a Spellbinders die and mounted it on a Cheery Lynn die... the corner dies... is a new company that I can not spell.. so I am not going to try   this card is an easel card for my daughters birthday.

Today on Scrapbook Stamp Society the challenge is to use stitching.. I choose to use the die by Fawn Lawn to do my stitching look The image was colored with copic markers img 499  I colored this is browns and light reds. the other dies I used are from Cheery lynn Designs
