birthday chick

The image I used on todays card in from Stampendous.  I love this little chicks they are so fun to stamp with.. They are on the small side so you need to figure out your layering to fill the stamps.. on this card I did three sizes of nestiblites from Spellbinders, Then a random stamped back ground.  I stamped this with watermark ink then embossed with clear embossing powder. the purple background was random stamped happy birthdays from Penny Black  stamped in purple distress ink.  The chick image was colored with Copic markers.

a peanuts birthday

This is a technique from technique junkies, called Grid, You stamp your images randomly, then draw the squares, trying to just go as far as the images.  This gives the card a 3- d look. Then you color in some of the squares but not all of them.  Stamps are from  stampablities.  paper is super smooth from papertempress. thanks

Birthday card for Sheila

This birthday card  was made for my sister Sheila.  The Husband said should not have used an elephant. but I like the image.  So lets get started.. The layout is a challenge for stamp something, this week.  The pink strips are from cuttlebug borders.. I have had these since they first came out.. this is the first time I have used them.  Paper the white piece is from papertempress, called white pearl linen.  This is one of the new papers, and the scan does not do it justice.  I also used her paper on the background behind the elephant. The color on this one is morphing Mauve.   The stamp image is from,Victoria Case Art Designs This is my new favorite stamp line.. For techniques I used out of the box from Technique junkies, and cuttlebug highlight.  The image was colored with copic markers. the ink used on the background is marvey.  and of course we had to have some bling.
thanks for looking.
