pop up box mothers day card

I know anyone who has been watching the card on Facebook and Splitcoast have seen how popular these cards are..  I used an image from Squigglefly called Mother's Day Card by Cheryl Grant Alger.  I colored her with copic markers..  I used a scrapbook kit on this that had all sorts of butterflies and gems and  flowers already cut out.. this helped to speed the project along.

pop up box card

This is a card I made for a wonderful lady turning 90 in a couple of weeks.. we are having a birthday card drive for her.. if you are interesting in joining us .. just leave a comment and a email address and I will send you the info.. I stamped the images with all sorts of great stamps and colored with copic markers.
Then I cut out a lot of different dies and went to work putting the card together.. this was the first one I have done... and so figuring out how to size stuff was a challenge.
This is the outside of the box... laid out like it would be in the envelope

I colored this with copic markers.. and then mounted it on designer paper... put on a doily, a pin some buttons and pearls...
