The Happy couple

I was asked by a friend to make a card for her son that was getting married.  The wedding colors were gray and mint.. Challenging color combo if I do say so.  I decide to  do a double twisted easel card..  The pop ups are 5 X 5 each ... and the dies are from Prima and also Spellbinders.  I used a digi from Kenny.. and colored it with copic markers. and I also used a photo of the couple.

The flowers were from the dollar bin at Michaels... I took and sprayed them green... and come up with a pretty good color... the card was 11 inches long.. so I need to make an envelope.. after much thought it came to me... to fold a 12 by 11 piece of paper  and score it at 5 then score it again at 10
and taped the ends with double stick paper... and decorated the envelope.
and of course there meant dies and flowers and some washi tape.

tea time

Today I am playing with a round twisted Easel card, made with a Besties  image drawn by Sherri Baldy.  I choose the image called Tea Time..  Just because it is too darn cute for words.. I colored her with copic markers and used spellbinders dies to cut her out.  the I also used a technique called out of the die.. the teal die ti a swirl die from Cottage cuts.. sure to be a new favorite.
Then I added some flowers from Wild orchid.. this is my first twisted easel round card I have done..

Have a ball

Today the challenge on Squigglefly is to make a round card.. and I  do not have any large round dies and I waited and waited.. for the order.. but Most likely it will be in today which is too late.. oh well.
so this is a little note card .. I used an image by James Horvath called Soccer set.  This set is really neat.. you get 4 images in the set.. I made the saying on the computer..  and used spellbinders dies to create the card.  The image was colored with copic markers and the edges were done with distress ink
Make sure you join us this week with your round card.. or as in my case note card..
thanks

Perk up

Today on outlawz, our theme is Get Well or Sympathy cards,  I choose Sympathy. And I am using an image by our Sponsor, Squigglefly, so excited they are helping us out on outlawz.
So you have a chance to win 3 images from Squigglefly.. so take a chance and enter.
The image I used is called Perk up.  it is one of the inside/outside images.  they come with an image for the outside, this one also had a sentiment, and an image for the inside.

I colored my image with copic markers and tried to make the outside with the colors of a sick plant and the inside with the colors of a healthy plant.  The inside sentiment came from something that came in the mail
I used some Spellbinders dies on the plant image and then added a border using some new dies I got from paperwishes... I joined their die of the month club.. and these were a part of June's dies.  and added some distress ink on the edges.. and some more Frantage...

working with scraps

My image for today from Squigglefly .. is so new... that this is a sneak peak.. .... watch for her in the July release.. she is called Fashion Fanny by Sandra Caldwell.  I just want to say .. when I  look at the image... I just did not like her.. but decided she would work for todays challenge working with scraps...   After I colored her .. my  thoughts on this image did a total 180... after she is colored... she is just cute... so do not judge her try her instead...

For my scraps.. I took two pieces of designer paper in by scrap bin.. and tore them in pieces then glued them down and trimmed of the edges.   Then I tore around my image and  inked with distress ink... Then I added a new product I am playing with right now called Fran-tage.. from Stampendous.  I have to say.. I am falling in love with this.. cannot wait to try it on gasp Christmas images...
I added a flower and felt the card did not need more..

Plant Kindness

Today for the challenge at outlawz... it was to do an outdoor activity.  and I choose gardening..
our Sponsor is Bugaboo... They have some really fun images.  My image is called Jj Gardening 2  . And Bugaboo is having a 50% off for the Month of July.

I used some Spellbinders dies for the image and the saying... and the other die I used is from Cherry Lynn.. the leaves reminded me of hearts.. so I thought it would be great with my Saying..

Now the other product on this besides tape .. is a new one for me it is called Fran-tage. , Stampendous.. and It is really fun to play with.. you sort of dump the powder on the paper or sprinkle if you only want a little .. then  you heat from underneath the paper .. to melt it... This will be really really fun on Christmas images...
