He Came upon a Midnight Clear

This  image was made with a digital image from Scrapbook Stamp Society, and colored with copic markers.
The image is called Christmas 019 digi stamp by Morgan Fitzsimons.  Morgan has came out with a whole bunch of very detailed images, you really need to check them out.  They can be a little scarry to color.  But if you take your time and make the image big enought to work with.. you can have a really awesome looking card.
This card was made for the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge this week, which is a colored image on White on white.  I used A doily, then I layered it onto a embossed square, then  I added some dies from Cheery Lynn designs, Memory box and Spellbinders. .
Don't forget to add your card to the challenge blog

a Card for Newtown CT

This card was made to send to Newtown CT.. I cannot tell you how awful I feel for those families.
To send your kids to school, where we all hope they are safe and to have some deranged person come into the school and kill the children.  It just breaks my heart to think about it.
The image I choose for this card is from Squigglefly, called Share the Love by Cheryl Alger.  I colored this with copic markers.
I wanted my design for this card simple with no bling.  I just felt bling did not belong here.
The dies are from Spellbinder. and the with sympathy is a die from Cheery Lynn designs.  The vellum borders are from Martha Stewart.
If you feel the desire to send a card here is the address

messages of condolences for newtown
po box 3700
Newtown CT 06470

Please remember the friends and families of the tragedy in your prayers

Snow Girl

Today's card was made with an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society called, Snow Girl by Sherri Baldy.  I colored her with copic markers  and mounted it on Spellbinders dies  I wanted to try something different for the background.. it was not a big sucess but . I used it anyway.. the background I took versamark and sponged it around a paper snowflake.. and then put white embossing powder on it.. well.. I decided to use it anyway... because it does have a snowy look to it.

Snow Many Wishes

This card was made with a stamp from Fun 'n' Flair stamps call Snow Many Wishes,  I Challenge this week at Fun N Flair is to make a blue toned card.  I colored my image with copic markers.  Then cut it out using Spellbinders oval die.  Then I layered this onto another Spellbinder die.  The Background paper is one I made.. I took one of the snowflake dies from spellbinders. and placed it on White paper then sponged around it using blue multi shade ink.  I would sponge and then move my snowflake and start again.. I really like the soft look of this technique.  Then I made a snowflake out of the Spellbinders dies.. inking the parts that stick out of the dies.  I used the same blue as in the background.. The Snowflake was put together using glue dots.. the corner die is from Memory Box.
Thanks

Christmas Gift

Today's card is from Fun 'n' Flair's  Miss Shayla at Christmas Time.  I colored her with copic markers. and then cut out the images..  This was layered onto an oval die cut on gold foil paper.. Under this was a die cut of holly leaves. which was layered onto designer paper.  Then I added poinsettia stickers to the holly.. which I know is not the same plant but I liked it so that is what counts.
The finished card was 5.75 X 5.75 inches.

Christmas Candle

This card was made with an image from Squigglefly called Christmas Candle by an new artist Elizabeta Kushner.    To make this card I printed the image twice.  because I wanted the pointsetta's to be three D.
I colored the image with copic markers the second time I only colored the pointsetta's.  Then I cut out both images.  Then I mounted the second poinsetta's on top of the first.
The corner dies are from Memory Box and the Merry Christmas is from Cheery Lynn designs.  The designer paper is from Michael's.  The foil paper is from Joann's and so is the velvet paper .   Then I added the gems... because every card needs some sparkle.
Make sure you make a red and green card with a Squigglefly image and enter it in the Squigglefly challenge so you could win a free image.

a snowmans birthday wish

We all know someone who has a birthday in December.  And I am sure sometimes they feel cheated.  So I made this card using a Christmas snowman but used non Christmas colors.. Then added birthday dies to it.   I did use a saying from a different company for the hello because I did not want anything Christmasy on this card.
This Snowman is from the Fun 'n' Flair set Snow Many Wishes
I colored the Image with Copic markers and used dies from Cheery Lynn Designs (happy birthday), Spellbinders (the die around the snowman), and Memory Box (bow swirl ).

Snow bunny tag

Today I did a tag, using an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society called, Ragamuffin Snow Bunny  the artist is Sherri Baldy.  I colored this image with copic markers.. I wanted to do a different color combination.. so I got out the old color wheel to see what might work.. I started with blue.. because I wanted some blue.. The complimentry color for blue is orange.. So I decided to use this color combo.. then added just a highlight of red.
To do the background.  I cut out some Spellbinders die snowflake dies.. and used them as a templet and sponged around them with a tri color die ink.. I like how that turned out.. will do it again.  Then I used the same dies to add the snowflake at the top.  The Merry Christmas is ribbon tape sold at Micael's.

Snow Day's Scrapbook page

This is a 12 X 12 Scrapbook page made for the latest challenge  on Fun 'n' Flair weekly challenge.  First I want to give credit to my good friend Patti who came over after a long day at work.  And basically took over the creation on the page.. since I do not scrapbook,, The very cute young lady in the photo is Patti's Granddaughter.
For this page we used stamps from Fun 'n' Flair 3 Christmas set
Snow many Wishes  The snowman
Penguin Christmas The penguin

I colored the images with copic markers and then cut them out..

Since we were doing a pink themed page of course we had to have lots of pink.  Now you all know I like the bold colors so I went with bold pinks.. Patti and thought soft baby pinks.. but since everything was colored I won. I added glitter to the star and covered it with glossy accent.

I love to put pink and purple together... so we had to have purple too.  I stamped the snowflakes on the ornament then added glitter. Then covered it with glossy accent.

on the snowman I added glitter-glue to the winter on the sign and to the berries on the hat.
On the page Patti cut white sparkly paper to make hills and then she placed the stamped image where she liked them.  I decided we needed snowflakes and they needed to be purple so I got out the Memory Box dies and cut us some borders and corner accents.. and of course bling is a must.
Thanks for stopping by.. I hope you enjoyed the combined efforts of Patti and I.
Thanks

Christmas Shopping

This is another Card by Morgan Fitzsimons. This one is called Christmas BW 008.   I colored the image with copic markers and mounted it on a Spellbinders die.  Then I used gold glossy paper which does not scan true to color .. it always looks a little black...I added glossy accent to the windows and the lamp.. also to the kristmas ornaments.  I also added white sparkle flocking to the ground and to the snow hanging from the window..  This is another image that you just pick a place to start and go for it.. it takes time and is not an image you would use for a production card.. but one for a special person..
I love the old fashion feel of Morgans images..
Thanks for stopping by...  We are having a blog hop on Friday where you will get to see more images by Morgan.

the holly die is from Cheery Lynn designs. and the paper and the poinsetta is from Michaels.

This card was made with a stamp from Fun 'n' Flair.  From the set called Snow Many Wishes,  I colored the image with copic markers ... But then I decided it needed glitter.  So you can not really see the coloring..
The die is from Lea'bilities..it is so cool. when you cut the stamp out.. you have the frame or the inside.. both are cool.  I like to do the frame in a different color... .. The embellishments are from Michael's
The Snow Many Wishes set is so cool.. it has all these neat saying you can stamp inside of the sign.. This make it so you can personalize the card..

    Christmas Beagle

This Card was made for Squigglefly challenge this week which is called Oldie but goodie.  So for my card I picked an image from last years Christmas release called Christmas Beagle by Marla Shega,
I saw this image last year, and so liked it. So this is the one I wanted to use for this challenge.
I colored this with Copic markers. Marla puts such good shading on her images that they almost color themselves.
Then I layered this on red and green.  I used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug for the background, and highlighted the embossing with old Mahagony Disress Ink.  Then I added dots of silver Sticles to the embossing.  But that really did not show up in the scanning.  The final thing I did was to add fluff to the white part of the Santa hat.  This really adds dimension to the card.
Don't forget to grab your favorite Squigglefly die and join the challenge this week.  A new Squigglefly image could be yours.
    thanks

    Penguin Christmas

This card was made with the brand new set of stamps from Fun 'n' Flair  called Penguin Christmas, the artist is Selina Shelton and the stamps are manufactured by Peacy Keen Stamps..
I really want you to try these stamps they are made from photopolymer.  And unlike the sets of clear stamps you buy and Michael's they stamps are nice and big.  so they are easy to color.  The Peniguin is really nice to work with.  The Christmas ornament is plan but the set includes stamps that will fit perfectly inside the ornament. how great is that.
I colored the stamps with Copic markers, then I cut the image out and placed it on a Spellbinders die.  The designer paper is a 6 X 6 pad from Michael's.  The bling are brads from Orental Trading.
    Thanks for stopping by.
