a Snowy Christmas


Today I am posting a card I made for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge. Non Traditional Christmas colors.. Well you know I could not resist that one… The image I choose was from Squigglefly called Snowman by Carmen Gamble..  I love how she had the snow piled on the arms and nose… so I used my Marvy snow pen.. and we have snow on everything.. I added some stickles to the snowflakes…

Fall Colors


Today's at Outlawz Stamp ala Mode.. we are doing a copy cat challenge .. where we are all using the same image by Ann Fenton.  She has her own Etsy site.. Anyway I colored the image with copic markers and distress the edges using distress ink… then  I layered on orange paper.. then distressed the edges of the designer paper and layered this on red papers..
the Dies are from Cheery Lynn designs and Spellbinders.. the the sentiment is from Hero arts.

Santa wishing you a Merry Christmas

Today In the spirt of Black Friday.. Santa has come to town.. I used an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society.. By Kim Gwin…  the image is called Kris Kringle Santa Claus.  I colored the image with copic markers.. and cut it out… then layered it on top of designer paper and added some dies from Memory Box and Impression Obsession..  and a ribbon…

Heralding in The Joy of Christmas


Welcome to another challenge by Squigglefly.. this week the challenge was to use a banner.. The image I choose was one called Herald Angel by Judith Heart.  I left the angels dress white and went over it with a clear glitter pen.. then I used  a gold glitter pen for the details.. and did a outside of the die cut with the Spellbinders die.. I also used a spellbinders die for banner.. the background is velvet paper what was put thru the embossing folder and layered on gold paper.. I wanted this to be a simple card.. The Merry Christmas is a sticker..

A Las Vegas Christmas..



Today at Scrapbook stamp Society the challenge is White on White.. with your image colored…
so I choose to go White Crazy… I image is by Sherri Baldy.. and is called Besties kids car.
I colored the image with copic markers picking christmas colors..
then I went die wild.. I used dies by Cheery Lynn Designs… and by Spellbinders and Impression Obsession and an embossing folder by sizzix…

count down to Christmas


This card was not made for a challenge it was made because I need Christmas Cards.. I choose an image from Squigglefly and you know me I love my Snowmen…
This image is called Snowman with a Broom… I colored him with Copic markers and just layered him on some fun designer paper.. the snow.. was made with using a Marvy Snow pen.. like it.. but you need to make a thick layer for it to work…
and I added ribbon as a border.. love this guy…

A Christmas Elf and Reindeer too



This week the challenge at Outlawz is to use dies and or punches.. and of course you know I was on top of that one.. I love my dies ,,, The image I picked for this week is from Scrapbook Stamp Society called Christmas Elf by Sherri Baldy.
I colored this card with Copic markers.. and decided my color theme would be brown , green and red.
The dies I used were from Spellbinders and Joy Crafts.. I love their snowflake border.. still learning how to use it… but I love it…

Merry Christmas pocket card



Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Facebook from Charmed Cards and Crafts.  (please click on link for tutorial.)

I started by Cutting the designer paper  12 X 4… and scoring every 4  inches.. Then cutting folding the paper in the first 4 inches and last four inches and cutting at an angle.
The center piece was embossed and  is in a rectangle shape about 3 3/4 x 6 inches.
Then I embossed and inked the tags.
The ribbon is taped down on the angle pieces.
and the snowflake is made of two snowflakes.

a winter ride



todays card was made with using an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society called Reindeer rider by Sherri Baldy.  I colored the image with copic markers.  and cut out using a Spellbinders die… Then I did a belly wrap with debossed images from a Sizzix embossing folder.. the snowflake  die is  from Joy Crafts… I love their dies…  and the merry Christmas is from  Cheery Lynn designs,,, so join us at Scrapbook stamp society… and  show us your embossing…

A Christmas Star


Today's card was made with an image by Squigglefly called I'm a Little Star by Cheryl Grant Alger.
 I colored my image with copic markers and cut it out with a round spellbinders die.. and used a technique called out of the die.. where parts of the image are outside of the die cut.. then I added a memory box swirl border at the bottom and a Impressions obsessions die to hang my image from at the top… and of course I used some fun designer paper that looks like a tree.
the Challenge this week at Outlawz Paper Al a Mode is to use stars or snowflakes on your project..

a Snowy Christmas


Today's Card is another fun snowman card… made with some great items all found at A Scrap N Place in Colorado.. I sure wish I lived closer to this store… I know I would love it there.

I started by cutting the debutant die out of red paper and then embossing it in the Stary Night embossing folder… then I highlighted this with the white Memories die ink..
Then I took a piece of white paper and embossed it twice because I wanted a size bigger then the embossing folder and highlighted this piece with Aged mahogany.
Then I cut out the Frostyville Frame in white and glued it on top of the red piece..

Home for the Holidays


Today's card was made with an image from Squigglefly called a Cardinal Birdhouse by Marla Shega.
The image was colored with copic markers. and inked on the edges.. When this image prints out it sort of has a gray box around it… per Squigglefly.. this was the artist intent.. so this is not a opps.. and it still colored up wonderfully.. take your time coloring this their is a lot detail on the image..
The saying is one I took out of my paper paek.. I thought it worked very well with the image.. the border I used also from the paper pack.. the flowers are from Michael's

The challenge this week at Squigglefly  is to use poka dots so that is why my choice for the background paper.

Christmas from Me to you

all I can say I came close..
My image is one of the Besties from Sherri Baldy, the image is called Winter Wonderland.
I colored the image with Copic markers.. and layered on a die cut out of Memory box dies..
the other dies is from Impression Obsession … these are all little pine brows.   the flowers are from Wild Orchid…

a Criss Cross Christmas

A winters day

Take this Snow and!!!!



Today's card is for Outlawz and the theme is snowmen.. anyone who follows my blog knows I make a lot of snowmen cards.. but I live in Las Vegas..  So snowmen are cute.. if I lived in the snow.. who knows.. My Son is living in WY with his Grandma, while going to college.  And his job is to keep the walks clean and the driveway.. he is ready to comeback to Las Vegas… cause we do not shovel sunshine.
My image is from Squigglefly.. and you have got to love this snowman by Lynne Stansbery.. the image is called Get your Shovels ready.
I colored the image with copic markers and  then layered on designer paper… the snowflakes are from Cheery Lynn designs and the corner die is from memory box.  Holly Young helped with the saying so thanks a bunches Holly.. it was perfect…
