A fairy kind of day

This card was made using a brand new image from Scrapbook Stamp Society.  The artist is a new artist.. I love her stuff and I know I will be using more of it.. Who you ask..Adriane Mascotti.
This image is Elena 1,  She just looks like someone you could sit dow and talk to.  I colored her with copic markers. I guess I was in sort of a fall kind of mood with the colors.  The die she was cut out with is a Spellbinders.. the rest the border die, the corner die and the dragon fly are all Cheery Lynn. Then of course we needed a little bling.
Make sure you stope by and check out the new artist, at Scrapbook Stamp Society.
Thanks

Owl Be Thinking of you

This is one of the new images from Squiggle fly  called Whimsical owl The artist is Diana Garrison.  I colored the image with copic markers.. then I was going to cut it all out.. wrong move.. way to hard to do.. so I just cut around sort of.  Then mounted this on a oval cutout  with a spellbinder die.  The Owl be thinking of you is from Inkadinkado. This was all mounted on designer paper and then I added acrylic flowers.

A Gift for you

This weeks challenge for Squiggle fly is to use Paper Piercing.  I had never done with do I went to the internet to see how to do it.  Then I ordered a templet for paper piercing.. and then went out and bought a Tim Holtz piercing tool.

The image from Squigglefly is called Ive brought your Something and it is by Diane Carubia.
I colored the image with copic markers.  Then after I sized my pink paper I used removable tape.. and taped the templet onto the paper and then just punched out the design..  The same for the corners.
I hope you take a chance at entering the Squigglefly challenge remember all you need to do is use a squigglefly image and  do paper piercing.
An easy way to do this also is to stamp onto a piece of graph paper.  and mark where you want your pin to go through .. then  just use a sharp push pin.

Apples for your Birthday

This is an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society.  I saw some cards on line that were made to look like a black and white photo.. I fell in love with them so I had to do me some.. I watch videos on u-tube to figure out which colors  of copics to use to do this.
The image is called Ragamuffin by Heather Valentin.  I decided to add a little color  on the apples and the basket.   but went  over them with some gray to dull the color a little I did not want that to be the only thing you saw.. The background does one using an embossing folder  and highlighting it with white..
The birthday stamp is form Penny Black..

The Wonder of Winter Blog Hop

Welcome the the Scrapbook Stamp Society's Wonder of Winter Blog hop.  Don't you just feel the chill in the air. The North wind is blowing, the snow is  flying, the fireplace is on  and you are sitting there drinking your hot drink of choice, mine would be hot chocolate.  Now are you in the mood yet.. I hope so because it is time to hop.
You should have arrived here from Nataliya.  Let get the business part out of the way first.. Make sure you start at the beginning, at the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog  and make sure you are leaving comments because like every  good blog hop there are prizes.
$12 dollar SSS digi prize for one lucky hopper who is a follower of the blog and who comments on all the participants blog posts.
Now on to the fun stuff. Wasn't Nataliya's card great, I always love her creations.
so here is mine.
My card is 6X6 and is a brand new image by Heather Valentin  And is called Caroling Penguins.  It is so new it is not even on the web site yet.. but will be soon.
Here is a close up look at this image.. don't you just want to reach out and hug these guys, or sing with them.  The image was colored with copic markers..  I use the out of the die technique. one of my favorites from Technique junkies.  and mounted the image on A spellbinder die called Floral Ovals.  I think they look very wintery.  The border die is from Memory Box called Frosty Border.  And all those cool snowflakes another die set this one is from Cheery Lynn Designs.  And it is called Snowflakes..  Then to add some bling I added gems in the snowflakes.   I know you can not see it in the photo, but the blue paper and the white paper is all glitter paper so the card truly has a wintery feel to it.
Make sure you leave a comment because I love to read them.. it truly makes my day.  The hop on to Kim's blog for another touch of winter.  Maybe it will even help you forget out the 115 degree's outside.  Oh I forget you do not all live in Las Vegas..

Neener Neener

This card was made with a very fun image from Squigglefly called Neener Neener by Fawn Palmer..   This image just spoke to me.. I get home from a quick trip to  Wy. for a funeral.. walk in the house at Las Vegas.. No Air.. my Air Conditioner broke down while out of town.. So after sitting in the heat for two days waiting for the repair man.. he says the condenser needs to be replaced.. Then my daughter calls and says.. Mom I broke my foot.. Then I get a call saying someone else I knew has passed away.. So this is me sticking my tongue out at life...  But since I needed a birthday card.. that is what I made..
The die is from Spellbinders.. and the embossing folder is from Cuddlebug.

The Squigglefly Challenge this week was paper piecing.  I have never done this before... but I do think I will try it again.. So make sure you enter you card  and use some paper piecing..

caught the big one!

This image is a great one for the fishermen in your life.. and we know how hard a good guy card can be to make.. this image is from Squiggle fly and is called Big Catch by Louise Gardner.  Now my Hubby is not having a birthday.. but Outlaws challenges is having a challenge to do a card with a fish on it.. now  if you guys know anything about me I love card challenges.. and Outlaws is a great place for me.. as it has a new one every day.. can we say card challenge heaven.
my image was colored with copic markers.. and I found an old background I did.. that I am sure was something from Technique Junkies.. That was perfect for this card.. then some scrap pieces of paper and you have a simple card ... and My boss who likes to fish has a birthday coming up... might be for him.. or some other person.. or land in my done box waiting for the perfect person to give it go...

Flowers for you

This card was made playing with one of the new dies I bought at CKC.. the die is from Marrieanne designs.  All I know is this is a European company very big over there.. and I can really see why.  The frame and the flowers come as part of the same set.  This is a really fun die set... I love being able to make my own flowers.. The Happy birthday die is from Spellbinders.
The image is from Squigglefly, and it is called    A Basket of blooms.  With the artist being Lynne Stansbery
at first I found this image a little on the  hard side to color.. the lattice design in the background really played havoc with my eyes..  But I found that my slowly coloring the flowers then the leaves... and just coloring  the negative space instead of the design.. that it was not as hard to color as I thought it would be.  So grab this image and give it a try... I think you will really like it.
