time flies

This card was made or a challenge on Outlaws challenges.. as I mentioned I love the challenges.. this one was something with wings... but they wanted it to be out of the norm.. I had the only stamp rom Stampers Anonymous. That I thought about as soon as I read the challenge.. this stamp just screams collage.. so I have not done one of these in can we say ages... so I got out my Tim Holtz tools and distress ink and went to work.. I just grabbed a lot of different stamps and made a collage. the flowers were cut out of designer paper .. the same paper that I used in the background.
Thanks for Stopping by for Sunday Stamping..posted an hour early but I know you do not care..

Friends

Making another card with a Squigglefly image today the image is called, Pretty Little Piggies,  by Lynne Stansbery.  I love her art.. she shades the images so that anyone can look like they know what they are doing with the shading.   I colored this with copic markers.. The image includes the saying also.. The flowers are from Petaloo and  the paper was sanded to show the blue on the other side   from a pad of paper called chocolate box.
Thanks

This card was made with a Fun image from Squigglefly called Sassy Dunce by Cheryl Alger.  This was made as a belated Birthday card.. I make birthday cards for people in my unit at work.. I was knew I had one at the end of this month.. so I checked my list and saw I missed a birthday.. I felt so bad.. I told her and of course she said that it was ok.. But I wanted to make her a card..  I have used this image before as a birthday card.  it is just fun..
I wanted to go with primary colors on this .. the oval dies are from Spellbind.  The Flower Chain is from  Cheery lynn and the embossing folder is from Provo crafts.

Just a little water

This card was made with a wonderful image from Squigglefly  called April Showers by Cheryl Alger.
I colored with copic markers.. Wanted to keep this simple since it had so much different elements in the image..
we have the water in the tub about ready to flow over the top of the tub.. but if that had been me... the flowers so would be dead.  I have killed me a plan by over watering.. and underwatering.. Lets put it this way .. my house is where plants go to die..
Hope you enjoyed this quick card..
thanks

Did you see ?

Did you ever make a card that you have no clue who you would give it too.. This is that Card.. I just love the image.  Do not ask me why .. but the expression is priceless.  The image is from Squigglefly.  The image is called
Did You Say Facelift by Lynne Stansbery.  Now it does not come with a sentiment so I made up my own.  I live in Las Vegas so I can pick on Vegas.. it is ok..   I choose to use the cuttlebug highlight technique on this card and do also an out of the square technique where part if the image is outside of your cut area.  The dies are from spellbinders  The lace I picked up at Michaels and the flowers where from a show I went to..
now I need to show you the inside of the card.
Again... the saying was the advertising theme  for Las Vegas a Few years ago.. so  I thought I would use it too.
the cake was stamped on... and colored with copic markers..

A Birthday Wish

This card was made for the Squgglefly challenge Blog,
which for this week is a Technique challenge.  The  Image I choose to use is called For your Birthday  by Fawn Palmer.  I have used other images by Fawn and they are always fun.. This is part of a set it also comes with two sentiments. The Happy Birthday which is on the outside of the card.
And a really great one for the inside of the card..
The technique I choose to use for this card, is from Technique Junkies. and it is called out of the die where you leave a part of the image sticking out of the die cut.. this is one of my favorites.. I use it all the time.
The next one I used on this card is called cuttlebug highlight.. where after you emboss the background you rub it lightly with some ink... in this case I used memory ink white.. dye ink.. they have the best white dye ink that I have found.

The die cut is from Spellbinders..  I also used on this card some of the new decorative tape that you can pick up at some Michael's. The tape is the cupcakes and the pink on the edges of the saying.
thanks for stopping by .. and do not forget that Squigglefly has a rewards program where after you purchase enough images.. you can get free ones..
and if you use a Squigglefly image and enter in the blog challenge you can win a great image..
So get your entry in today..
thanks

Nellies Swim Day

This card was made using a great new image called Nellies Swim Day from The Scrapbook Stamp Society.  The artist is Sherri Baldy.  This one was just released this weekend.. and I knew I had to have it for the outlaws water challenge.  If you like to play in the challenges like I do,  You can almost always find the correct image at Scrapbook Stamp Society.. Last weeks was Circus.. they had it. Thursdays was boating.. they have that too.
The technique I used on this is called out of the die.. where part of the image is sticking out of the die cut.. and I wanted the feet out... would of liked to do the hands to but have learned that is too hard if you have too many parts out of the die.  Th flowers.. are some acrylic ones I found at a show.. looks these were deformed.. but they look ok to me.. The dies on this card the leaves are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the square is from Spellbinders.
Thanks

Serenity

This Card was made using a sketch challenge from Outlaws the image is Scrapbook Stamp Society called
Morgan Fitzsimons Teddy 1  and if you cannot guess the artist is Morgan Fitzsimons.  The image was colored with copic markers and someday I will get the shading right for folds in clothes.. I find this a little daunting.
The saying I think is an old Time to Stamp one.. not sure though.
The oval, rectangle and the banner dies are from Spellbinders the corner die is from Cheery Lynn and the die above the teddy's head is from Memory Box.

Flower Power fairy

This card was made using a wonderful image from Scrapbook Stamp Society by artist Heather Valentine.  The image is called Flower Power Fair Ragamuffin.
I love the face on this image.. I colored her with copic markers.. added some stickles  to the wings and the flower center. The background is a technique junkies technique called double bugging.  I decided to try some of my new flowers on this one.. and yes I used a glue gun.  The beaded picks in the back I bought at a show.. I understand they are handmade.. but not by me..

Dragonfly Gaze

This card was made for the Squigglfly Challenge blog.. The challenge this week is to do your card in Black, White and Gray.  I love the new copic look of making the card look like it was done in black and white.. so I had to use that technique on this card.  The image I choose is called Dragonfly Gaze by Diane Carubia.
I colored this image with copic markers. The girl was colored in the C tones and the Bunny in the W tones.  I cut the image out with a spellbinder die.  the background  was done with a debossed embossing then gone over with black.. And being a good.. multi tasker.. this card also meets the friday challenge for outlaws.
Make sure you join this one... it is fun and easy..
thanks
