am I havin fun yet?

This is another of the retirement cards I made for work.. And yes I love this image by Squigglefly.  This card is a gate card.. the image above represents the working women.. I work for an insurance company in the claims department.  So the wash is the claims..   The image is called am I havin fun yet by Lynne Stansbery.   I colored the image with copic markers and mounted on designer paper..

Behind the gate is an image that represents the person when she  retires.
This image is called Dancing Debbie by Cheryl Alger  This image was colored with copic markers and cut out using spellbinders dies.. and mounted on designer paper..
One of the things I did not the card was to make the outside of the gate..dull colors and the inside very bright and free colors..
I hope your enjoyed this card.. it made me smile.. Oh my friends name is Debbie..so this made this image all the better..
thanks

feeling like fall

I do not often do projects other then cards.. but I was up to the challenge to make an item not a card.. Fall related.
this completed project is a wood box 8X8.  The Image on it is from Scrapbook Stamp Society called
Eleanor and Pickles autumn Days by Heather Valentin.  I made my project for the Scrapbook Stamp Society Autumn challenge .  To win this challenge I will need your vote.. if you would be so kind..  to take the time to vote.. it sure would make my day.
Products used on this project
Alcohol inks
Copic markers
leaf dies by Cheery Lynn Designs
oval die by Spellbinders
leaf flourish by Cheery Lynn Designs
background die by Cheery Lynn designs.
Distress inks
gems
flowers by Petaloo
glitter mist
white paper
gold paper
orange paper
clear glue

I started the box by using alcohol inks by Ranger and covering the outside of the box.  I first used my applicator tool and spread the ink then I went back and did a tapping motion on the box.

The next step was to make my leaves.. I started by apply distress inks in yellow red and rust onto a white sheet of paper.  Then cutting this out with Cheery Lynn dies..  Then I pressed the cut leaves into the top of the ink so the veins of the leaves would show.
Then I took the flowers and  and applied distres inks them and misted them with glitter mist.
I cut the latice die on light orange paper and  glued it down with clear glue
Then I addedd the gold flourished to  the left side of the box. And my distress flowers by Petaloo

Then I added my oval Eleanor image to the center of the latice and started adding the leaves and flowers.

Please remember to vote for my fall creation... and thanks for stopping by

Fall Blessings.

This Card was made using a wonderful image from Squigglefly, called Apples and Pumpkins by Lynne Stansbery.  And if you have not figured it out I love her images.. I am slowly getting them all.
This card was made for the Monday Challenge on Outlaws, the Them was a card made using apples.  It is a good thing they give you a week to get them in..  The Monday Challenge also requires a saying on the front of the card. I just wish I knew who this one was from.
The designer paper is from Michal's and the image was colored with copic markers. My apples I tried to make them look like my favorite kind of apples Gala's
The die cuts are from Spellbinders one of the new sets.. think this one will become my favorite.. It is called decorative lables eight.. and a neat hint..is that regular labels 8 fit inside to make great layers.. but I bet you knew that..
Take care and keep on stamping.

A Good Little Witch ..

Hi it is time for the Squigglefly challenge Blog card.. this weeks challenge is for a Monochromatic card.   The image is called a Good Little Witch by Lynne Stansbery.  This is such a fun image but I love all of  Lynne's images.. they are so easy to color.. she adds the shading for you.. so it really looks like you know what you are doing.  I colored this card with copic markers.. The die is from Spellbinders and the corner dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I printed the image and colored her in shades of purple and violet.  Then cut her our doing what is called a fancy  cut.  Then I mounted her on the oval die cut.. which was put in the rectangle die cut. This was put on a light purple card stock and then mounted on the dark purple.
the finished card size in 5 X 6.5 inches.
Then I added gems.. There is a set my Michael's that comes in a box.  It has 3 colors and about 5  different sizes of gems.. love this set.. it gives you enough to do more then one card.. and gives you colors that work together.
make sure you enter your card in the Squigglefly challenge for your chance to win a free image..
I look forward to seeing your card.
thanks

Sepia Sunday Stamping

This is a technique I have been wanting to try since I tried the black and white technique, about a month ago.
The card was colored with Copic markers.  I used mostly the E tones but I also used YR24, YR21, and YR20
The skin was done with E30, E31,  and YR20,   The Hair with YR24, E33, E35 and E37
The clothes with E70, E71, E73 and E75.
The dies on this is the oval is from Spellbinders and the corner dies are from cheery Lynn Designs..
The doily started out white.  and then I misted it with butterscotch  mist from Ranger then went over it with brown memento ink.
The stamp is from Crafters Companion SWAK .
The rest is just layering  the card size is 5.75 by 5.75 inches.
Thanks
