Happy National Cat day

Today is National cat day, and in honor of that ...There is a new release by Shari Baldy... and the theme is cats... I got to play with this awesome image... I do not have a link to it since it was not added to the store when I did this card... I colored my image with copic markers.

This is what I used to make this card in copic colors.
my supplies are

Copic pens see above
foil teal tape
Spare parts vintage purple flowers
Distress inks
 peacock feathers
 picked raspberry
 Spun Sugar
 Dusty concord
Spellbinders Paisley embossing folder A side
glue
double stick tape
White card stock
Dark Purple card stock
light purple card stock
Distress ink applicator mini
teal enamel drops

after printing the image the first step was to color the  image
Then I just used a paper cutter and trimmed it to the size I wanted... then I added distress ink using picked raspberry and spun Sugar.... my applicator was dirty... oops so it also blended in other colors and I liked the look..
Then I started on my background.
I trimmed a piece of light purple card stock to the size I wanted...
then using distress ink peacock feathers, raspberry and dusty concord... I applied ink to the inside of the embossing folder.. this is what you get
Then I wanted to highlight some of the areas... so I took the raspberry and added some ink to the some of the raised areas on the background. and added the teal foil tape and mounted it on the dark purple paper.
then I did some direct to paper  on my white base card stock...  direct to paper is when you take your ink pad and apply it directly to your paper.  I did this with the peacock feathers.
Then I started to assemble the card
last but not least I added the flower and the enamel drops

What can I say... always a little sister... even with as old as I am...
I colored the image with copic markers... and cut it our using spellbinder dies... I also used a spellbinder  embossing folder... I did the technique where you ink the inside for the folder and it leaves the parts with the background inked and the embossed part not...

Fall Fairy

Today On One Sweet Challenge... the Challenge is to make a card for the Souls Day.. or to use fall colors...  so I had to ask since I have never celebrated it... and this is what I was told
All Souls Day is celebrated in honour of your loved ones who have passed on...it is a totally Christian movement.

Now I think my image could be an angle.. but it is a fairy... so I guess I choose to co fall colors....
my image is called Fairy with Flower by Molly Jarrison.. I colored my image with copic markers and .. the die around the fairy is by Spellbinders... and the corner dies are memory box...
the background  I did by using distress ink, rusty hinge, Wild honey and Mahogany..
and the blinding tool and a little direct to paper... love how it turned out... and the just some gems in the corner...
thank for stopping by... make sure you join us at One Sweet challenge blog... and show us your card...
