Besties mixed media

Today on The Besties Challenge blog... the challenge is to add Ribbon or lace...
this weekend I have been experimenting with mixed media and stencils.  This is image IMG957
I colored her with copic markers then added distress ink... then added ... some distress with water colors...  the background was done with distress inks and  stencils and stencil paste and paints...
the flowers are a Besties Stencil called flower garden.  the other stencils are from  a company that escapes me right now... I used purple and blue paints for the flowers and then  took a white stencil past and mixed it with green distress ink for the ferns.  and the circle flowers had copper paste...
the the funky flower is from prima...

The Many Faces of Nicole

Today is my Daughters 29th birthday ... This is the card I made for her using all the great new Besties fluffy images... I do knot know how Sharri Baldy  did it... she found so many of my daughters favorite things Shoes Nicole loves her shoes, Dancing she was a dancer for many years... tea... she loves her tea... and Yoga... This just touches on her many thing she loves to do... all we need is a hiking one and a rowing one... and I would have needed two cards...

I decided to do a stair step card... and layer the images at different levels...  the die is from Tattered lace...

Make me laugh....

Today on outlawz, Paper ala mode our sponsor is Bugaboo... and the challenge is make me laugh... I choose to make a guy card today... My Brother Bob is having a birthday in a few weeks... so I thought I would make this for him...
The image is called.  /guys Birthday Optional... I colored my image with copic markers... and fussy cut hime out... I used the sentiment that came with the image ... The dies are a set of gears from Spellbinders.... I just sort of arranged them how I liked them and added enamel dots and arrows... and added glossy accents to the glasses...

Today I am sharing a card I made with one of the new Besties image   I colored her with copic markers and inked the background using  distress inks and a scrape of paper...

gate fold card

today I am sharing a card I made with one of the new fluffy Besties image.. I also decided to play with my tattered lace gate fold dies and embossing folders...
I colored my image with copic markers and used one of the Tattered lace dies to cut her out with...
and also layered her on purple...
Then I started my gate fold...
I cut a piece of 12 X 12 paper to 5 3/4th by  11
then I scored the  paper and put it inside a Tattered lace gate card embossing folder...
the folder embosses the inside of the card and the out side flaps..
then I used one of the dies made to shape the edges of the card...
and then cut out the dies that made the lace look on the edge... The flowers on the other side are from Spellbinders... the inside borders are from Cherry lynn designs... make sure you join us at Scrapbook stamp society challenge where the challenge is to make a card using  dry or heat embossing

Get well soon

Today I am sharing a card I made using an image from Digi Stamps 4 joy..  the image is called Daisy bucket. I colored the image with copic markers... the challenge this month is add a tag I stamped the get well on the tag and then colored it with distress inks... the background paper is from Huncky Dory.  I took and popped up some of the butterflies and flowers to give the card a more of a 3 D feel to it..

Valentine Bear

Today... I am sharing a card I made with one of the awesome new images called  Valentine bear with cushion from Digi Stamps for joy... just in time for valentines day... I colored my image with copic marker... and it out with a die...
Then next step was to use an embossing folder on the background  and sand off the embossing.. Then I put it back thru the die cut machine and flattened out the embossing.. turned out really cool... then I added some dies in the corner for fun  and used a Cheery Lynn border die... thanks for stopping by

This is the tag I made for a book mark challenge using an image from Sandra Caldwell called Headache.  I colored it with copic markers and use gelatos for the background... I tried some past  put it was clear so it did not show up... put some stazon on it... but had problems with it too ... so will have to figure out how to use that paste...

Today on outlawz, Paper ala mode we have a new sponsor Digi Stamps 4 Joy, who I also design for.. we are doing Tags this week... the  image is called Flower and Butterfly Border.. this was a real fun image to play with ... I am starting to dip my finger back not some more mix media type of work...  The image was a fun item to use with this ... today I was playing with gelatos ...  I primed the tag with gesso ... and then rubbed on different colors until I was happy with the result...  then I stamped with stazon ... some sentiments...   then used some pearl drops and  a metallic marker... Valentines Love

Today on Scrapbook stamp society the challenge is to make a Valentines day card.. I chose to use image IMG955.  I colored this with copic markers... and since I was not feeling pink the card ended up red and orange... what can I say...
I colored it with copic markers... the dies are from Frantic stamper,,, the corners, Fawn lawn the  stitched oval and spellbinder.. the one behind.... the embossing folder is from spellbinders...
I added some glitter... and the love is from Kissercraft
